In 2015, a visionary senior civil servant introduced natural agriculture, or agroecology, with the support of the government of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.

The aim of the programme is to convert the 6 million farmers to a system that uses local products, mainly cow dung and urine, without any chemicals.This is the world's largest agroecological transition programme.

Through meetings with farmers and the initiator of the project, this film is an opportunity to discover the impact of these new methods and to understand the vision behind this large-scale ecological experiment.

As a child, I used to spend time with my father on the farm, stroking the calves, riding on the tractors...
When I refused to take over my father's farm, I was 15. I didn't want to go through that back-breaking job. A bond was broken.

Since then, I've discovered farmers who try to keep their cows less productive than those on conventional farms.
Local farming and a new model that challenged my decision of 25 years ago.
